Vitalik says new Solidity compiler is live, with oksolc rebuilt in Zig

Vitalik Buterin said in a post on X that a new Solidity compiler has been released. In a separate post, Henri, co-founder of OKcontract Labs, said the updated compiler rebuilds oksolc with Zig and is designed to produce the same bytecode as the official compiler. He also shared performance figures, saying compilation for most contracts is now more than five times faster. According to the numbers he cited, internal build time fell from about 10 minutes to about 2 minutes, while large incremental changes dropped from about 700 seconds to about 99 seconds. The posts did not include additional rollout details beyond the release and the performance claims.
